Koenraad Debackere

Prof. Koen Debackere is General manager of KU Leuven, specializing on technology, innovation management and innovation policy.

He is the Managing director of KU Leuven Research & Development, chairman of the innovation fund Gemma-Frisius and member of AWTI (Adviesraad voor Wetenschap, Technologie en Innovatie), an advisory board on science, technology and innovation of the Dutch government. He is also, since 2000, chairman of the board of Leuven.Inc (Foundation), with the mission to bridge the gap between high-tech, social entrepreneurs and companies as well as to emphasise the importance of societal impact.
